Rome's Trastevere Neighbourhood in Pictures

I could spend weeks in Trastevere with my camera - every street is a joy, with ochre coloured walls and shutters, flower boxes, coffee shops, grafitti and blue skies at every turn. It’s a photographer’s dream, that much I know. Here are a few of my favourites, taken in the winter and spring of 2019…

  1. Balcony with flowerboxes

2. Yellow walls and brown shutters

3. Aristocampo restaurant - famously against war and tourist menus!

4. Capriotti cafe on Piazza San Cosimato

5. Orange walls and blue shutters

6. Festive decorations hung around street art

7. Number 57 - brick wall and flowerboxes

8. Faded grandeur

9. Brown walls and shutters, adorned with greenery

10. Purple bike decorated with flowers
